Sam Lewis - Web Contempo President, Lead Developer and Internet Marketer

Sam and the FamMy name is Sam Lewis. I live west of the Twin Cities, have a lovely wife and 2 kids, and I've been working full time in the web development industry in all capacities since 2002. I've worked as an employee with a leading Minnesota web design company and I've also spent a great deal of time working as a contractor for web design and Internet marketing firms across the country.

I started Web Contempo in January of 2007 with the goal of offering affordable web design and search engine optimization services to clients across the Twin Cities as well as nation-wide, and so far we've enjoyed tremendous success.

At Web Contempo, all the projects go through me. My experience has touched all areas of the Internet including Web design, programming, front end coding and Internet marketing. Although I'm a one man team, I've built up a network of connections around the world that provide extra help when needed. Whether you need a small informational website, a full scale ecommerce solution, or a comprehensive Internet marketing plan, I'm positive I'll be able to offer an affordable solution that will keep your overall costs down and get done when you need it done.

I keep my prices low by doing 3 important things -

  1. Less Staff = Less Overhead - sure there are plenty advantages to having a full time designer and programmer on site. The problem with carrying a full staff, especially in these rough economic times, is it simply isn't always cost effective, and vastly increases overhead. Instead, I personally work on every project that graces my desk, and I rely on a network of contracting connections I've made over the years to handle specific tasks when the project is too big for me to handle 100% personally.

  2. Working Remotely - I've been working 100% remotely for over 3 years and I have strong relationships with business owners across the country that I've never even met face to face. Today's technology allows for an amazing level of communication without the additional preparation and commuting time it takes for an on-site meeting. This allows me to spend more of my time working on what I do best, and less time in the car, which ultimately keeps your costs as low as possible.

  3. Cutting out the BS - Often, clients will want certain things that are unrealistic or not cost effective. Many web development companies will be happy to provide those things to clients anyway and bill, bill, bill for the work. I promise I will always give it to you straight. If you want things that don't seem practical or cost effective, I'll let you know beforehand and then you can decide if it's worth the time and money.

Get in touch with me to go over the details of your project and get a price quote. Even if you're already set on another design or marketing firm, I'll still be happy to give you a free estimate and discuss any other details of your project. I'm always looking for new clients, and I'm never too busy. Contact me today at my personal email: sam@webcontempo.com, or check out my portfolio to see some recent projects I've developed.
