I bought a house about a month ago and I finally got everything moved in this past weekend. What does this have to do with WP Contempo? More than you may think. Now that I have the new house, I have a much bigger, private office. This means I won’t have any distractions from the kids, and more importantly, I should be able to begin producing videos. One of the main things I was initially hoping to do with this site was produce useful how-to WordPress tutorials.

So here’s the question: what kind of tutorials would you like to see? I’d love to get your feedback so I can produce tutorials that will be as helpful as possible. Feel free to email me or leave a comment on this post with your suggestions.

Moving on, I have several major theme releases planned for January. I have another installment in my WP Commerce series that is a much more advanced PhpBay WordPresss theme. I also still plan on releasing an alternate version of the original WP Contempo theme as I promised I would do once we hit 500 downloads. Some of my other themes have done so well I may release alterantes of them as well, so stay tuned, and feel free to make requests.

Last big news item, I’m going to be doing a lot of work with WordPress MU in the near future. I have some personal projects that I feel it may work well with, and I am also exploring using it as an improvement on my existing demo site. One thing I’ve really noticed about my current theme demo setup is that it really doesn’t work well if the themes don’t follow a similar sidebar convention. For example my Zeofire themes have 6 125×125 ad slots as the first 6 sidebars, so they are not anywhere close to most of my other theme sidebar layouts. I’m really hoping that WordPress MU will provide a solution that will allow me to display all my free wordpress themes in a format that will show their full potential.
